Professor William Duggan is the author of three recent books on creative strategy as the key to innovation: Napoleon's Glance: The Secret of Strategy (Nation Books, 2002); The Art of What Works: How Success Really Happens (McGraw-Hill, 2003); and Strategic Intuition: The Creative Spark in Human Achievement (Columbia Business School Publishing, 2007). In 2007, the Strategy+Business named Strategic Intuition “Best Strategy Book of the Year.”

Professor Duggan has twenty years of experience as a strategy adviser and consultant and has given sessions on creative strategy at companies and organizations around the world. He teaches creative strategy to MBA, executive MBA, and executive education students at Columbia Business School.
